Power To The Flowers, Power To The Flowers Today.

Welcome.  Pardon my raspy voice, I've got that cold thing going on.

Funnily enough, right after I posted yesterday morning, it stopped snowing, the sun came out and it turned into a beautiful day.  Unfortunately my cold didn't magically disappear also. I meant to do the snow and cold be- gone spell.  Damn.

But I could still taste the food  and smell the flowers.  I had enough voice left to laugh at peoples stories and tell a few of my own.  And I had enough sense to happily remain seated while all the "guests" did the clean up.

We had our own cherry blossom festival happening on the buffet table, locally grown, thank you very much.

There was one perfect stem of clematis on the sideboard.  Thank you California.

But the best of all were the pink perfection camellia blossoms from our garden mentors farm.  Thank you Geoff and Chuck.

Now I'm going to make myself another pot of tea, curl up with the computer and come and visit each and every one of you for a dash of healing spring or autumn flowers.

What's blooming in your house?

We'll keep this going through Tuesday in case any of you delinquents, I mean busy people didn't have time today to snap a picture of some flowers. GG's suggestion.  Not her words:)

  4. Help, Jane! Can't link for some reason, although I'm sure it's me.
Those camellias are flawless. We never see them here unless they happen to bloom from the cut foliage.

  5. I noticed the camellias being flawless too. In the Pacific NW we rarely see this beauty without ugly marks on them...very nice vase also.

Hope you feel better soon. Licorice Root tea really does help. We buy ours in bulk but I think that Stash Tea has one, it might be called Licorice Spice.

LOVE the cherry blossoms - we don't get too many of those around here, unless we go to the florist.
I did the snow (really? snow? I thought we had crappy weather for the weekend!) AND cold be gone spell for you this morning, so I hope you're feeling better!

  11. those camellias are so sweet! Unfortunately ours are pretty beat up, we are certainly on the edge of their coldest zone but even in a sheltered location this winter/spring has done them in. The buds are all brown and ick. Anyhoo, yours are gorgeous, makes me want to dig up and bring the big old plants indoors next year.

  12. Hi Jane,

That branch with blossoms looks beautiful. So does the clematis! I believe we have the same variety of clematis in our garden. I planted it recently.

I decided to join your 'what's blooming in your house today', but realised it is more 'outside in my garden' Sorry!

Hope your cold will be gone soon!

    Take care! Lieve groet, Madelief

Sue, No chicken soup yet, but i did go out to lunch and had some Pho at my local Vietnamese restaurant. I think the jalapenos helped.

Katherine@Florist In The Forest, I couldn't leave a comment on your post. It wouldn't allow me too:( Sorry, I'm so happy you joined us.
